Who Is Watching After Hours? Explore Managed SOC with Trubyte and Xcitium
Your team can finish work for the day. Your security alerts keep arriving.
For an IT leader, the difficult question is what happens next. Who reviews an alert overnight? Who decides whether it needs investigation? Who can act when the person responsible for security is unavailable?
A security operations center, or SOC, brings monitoring, investigation and response into a coordinated operation. Running one continuously takes more than buying another tool. It means staffing shifts, maintaining processes and making sure the right people can take the right action.
On Thursday, 5 November 2026, Trubyte and Xcitium will explore that challenge in SOC Without the Struggle: 24/7 Protection, Zero Overhead. The 45-minute Zoom webinar will introduce Xcitium Managed SOC, examine the build-versus-managed decision and include a live demonstration.
The gap between receiving an alert and handling it
Many businesses already have security technology. The operational challenge is turning its signals into decisions throughout the day and night.
An alert still needs context. An unusual activity might be legitimate work, a configuration issue or a threat that deserves immediate attention. Someone needs to assess it, understand the affected systems and decide what should happen next.
When that responsibility sits with an already stretched IT team, after-hours coverage becomes difficult to sustain. Adding more alerts does little to solve a shortage of time, expertise or clear ownership.
The webinar will examine these pressures, including alert overload, the talent gap and the cost of maintaining a continuous security operation.
Build your own SOC or use a managed service?
An internal SOC gives an organization direct control over its people and operating model. It also brings an ongoing commitment to recruitment, training, shift coverage, tooling and management.
A managed SOC offers another route: accessing a security operation as a service rather than building the entire capability internally. The practical evaluation should focus on how the service fits your environment and how responsibilities are shared.
Before choosing either model, ask:
- Which systems and security signals need coverage?
- Who investigates incidents outside business hours?
- Which response actions can be taken directly, and which require approval?
- How will urgent issues reach your internal team?
- What reporting will help leadership understand the work being done?
The session's title uses “Zero Overhead” to describe avoiding the burden of building and staffing a SOC. Businesses should still clarify service fees, onboarding requirements and their own responsibilities before making a decision.
Follow a threat from first alert to response
An illustrative SOC workflow. The live session will demonstrate Xcitium's approach.
Bryant Chan, Associate Sales Engineer at Xcitium, is scheduled to walk through a threat from the initial alert to containment, investigation, response and reporting.
For IT teams, this is an opportunity to examine the handoffs behind the technology. Watch how an alert becomes an investigation, how the response is explained and what information is available afterward.
The reporting stage matters as much as the initial notification. Technical teams need enough detail to understand the incident, while business leaders need a clear account of what happened and what action followed.
Bring your coverage questions
Syed Mavin Ahmed Naqvi, CEO of Trubyte, will open the session. Karla Decastro, Director, Global Sales at Xcitium, will cover the Managed SOC overview and the build-versus-managed choice. Bryant Chan will lead the demonstration, followed by an open Q&A with the Xcitium speakers.
If you lead IT or security, come with a specific coverage gap in mind. It might be weekend escalation, overnight investigation or the reporting your leadership team needs. A focused question will help you assess how the model could fit your business.
Teams reviewing their wider security setup can also explore Trubyte's cybersecurity solutions alongside the webinar.
